We anticipate being able to place 50 AmeriCorps*VISTA members in community technology centers and a wide range of nonprofit organizations across the country that are using and seek to use information and communications technology in supporting low-income communities and the groups that work with them. While the majority of these placements will take place at the end of AUGUST, we anticipate that we will be able to place a small group in JUNE, and want to let you know about this immediately, since finalized organizational applications for these placements are due in mid-APRIL.

In our field we're actually at the cutting edge of human organization, and we'd do well to recognize that and build on those strengths, as opposed to operating under a mindset of scarcity. We live in a world of plenty, yet despite that people and organizations go without and cannot meet their needs.
